The researcher aimed, through the current study, to reveal the differences between outstanding and ordinary students in the research variables (competitive anxiety and academic competence).
To reveal the nature of the relationship between competitive anxiety and academic competence among students of the Faculty of Education, Helwan University, who are mentally superior and ordinary.
The current ence of differences between the average grades of outstanding and ordinary university students on the scale of academic competence, as the calculated value of t reached (0.519), which is a non-statistically significant value, and there are no differences between the average scores of outstanding and ordinary university students on the scale of competition anxiety, as the calculated value of t reached (0.764), which is a non-statistically significant value.
The results also found that there are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of ordinary males and females on the scale of state anxiety, trait and anxiety as a whole, as well as in specialization, there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of males and females who are mentally superior from university students on the scale of academic competence, as well as for ordinary and specialized scientific.
And literature for outstanding and ordinary students, the existence of a negative correlation and a statistically significant function between the total degree of competitive anxiety and the academic competence of outstanding and ordinary university students
