Abstract EN

Economic reform programs are an important tool for making some positive changes to macroeconomic indicators of the economies of countries seeking market transition and privatization programs.

The research sought to identify the economic and social impacts that will be produce in Iraq, which began implementing economic reform programs after 2003 after agreement with the IMF Monetary and World Bank.

The research concluded that the economic reform programs implemented in Iraq under the supervision of the IMF and the World Bank have had positive effects on some macroeconomic indicators and have produced negative economic and social effects.

Accordingly, some recommendations have been make for the success and activation of economic reform programs and alleviating the negative effects resulting from that.
