The dictionary industry of Arab scholars was derived only from the Arab heritageSince the dictionary is a linguistic book that collects a large amount of the words of a certain language, each of which explains its meaning on a specific method and order, and which its author is satisfied with according to the purpose he wanted to include, the concept of the specialized dictionary can be defined as "the dictionary that explains and interpret terms of one branch of any science”.

However, there are some differences between the general dictionary and the specialized dictionary that is based on the method and the language content, and if the general dictionary is based on a stable linguistic register that is written by the old dictionaries, the specialized dictionary is based on a long-term and continuously generated terminology because it keeps pace with what the language is generated by indicative terms of new concepts.
