Abstract EN

This study aims to show the role of two important means in formulating Arabic words and enriching their lexicon, namely derivation and adhesion.

And since the formulation of words in the Arabic language depends primarily on the derivation, we have shown its relationship to the conjugation, then we have affixed the adhesion to distinguish the term, which is authentic in Arabic or intruder to it, while specifying its methods of employment in the Arabic language.

The study concluded that the construction of the word in Arabic takes two tracks; either it is derivative, or it is affixive.
