Abstract EN

The current study deals with the topic of academic programs and their compatibility with the reference standard for library and information programs for Arab universities issued by the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information.

It aims to identify the programs provided by the Institute of Library Science and Documentation in Constantine with a Bachelor's degree, analyze them and compare them with the programs proposed by the reference standard for library and information programs.

In conducting this study, it depended on the descriptive approach and on analyzing the content of academic programs to collect the necessary data and information.

Finally, the study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are: that there is a kind of compatibility between the programs presented by the Institute of Library Science and Documentation and the programs proposed by the reference standard, with the ence of some axes in the areas specified in the standard.
