The field of Andalusian historical studies has witnessed a turnout by researchers in recent decades.

They turned their attention to his political and cultural subjects alike.

The students of high studies in history departments of Iraqi universities were heading to his field a great deal, due to the characteristics that he recognized, and because of the relatively late trend in Iraq to his field.

The first university scientific thesis in its field was recorded in the Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad in 1972.

And the Arab universities in Cairo and Damascus were the first to study it.

The topic of this research was devoted to the study of the Al-Fadhl ibn Omayrah family, its scientific contributions and its assumption of jurisdiction in Andalusia.
