This paper argues in the investigation of the most important theoretical postulates of the founder of the critical trend in geopolitics since the end of the last century, specifically the Swedish thinker Gearóid Ó Tuathail, by extracting his view and opinions on traditional/orthodox geopolitics, and the historical context of international relations that affected the development of geopolitics, especially in the post-cold war, as this research paper seeks to try to simplify the four contexts of critical geopolitics based on the vision of the theorist and arguments that he presented through his articles and researchs.
