Women's political participation contributes to political decision-making and the achievement of comprehensive and sustainable development.

This study aims to extrapolate the legislative texts related to this participation, in particular in the proportional representation system, which is described as enhancing the representation of the various groups of society, and then to examine the reality of this participation.

The study concluded that the State enshrined the equality between men and women in electoral laws, encouraged political parties to include women, and adopted positive discrimination in their favor through the system of women's quotas.

However, this system must be made circumstantial, and attention should be paid to strengthening the political skills of women and using Media to face challenges the challenges of its political participation.
