Ibn al-Muqaffa prose was the subject of the research and there were many forms of receiving and studying this literary heritage.

the focus was on the studies on Kalila and Dimna to reveal the patterns of receiving and questioning the readings formed around the book, within the descriptive analytical method and the use of the concepts of the reception theory to add something new to the Arabic literature.

this research seeks to reveal the methods adopted by the critics that dealt with the book Kalila and Dimna, and their role in the completion of this literary work.

though the abundance of the methods the research concludes that they are of two: either the historical field or immanence.

the research focuses on how scholars worked, and the ways in which critics begged to understand, study, analyse and interpret the literary text.
