Abstract EN

The study aims at defining money-laundering as a phenomenon from one hand, and from the other hand as a crime.

Although jurisprudence and legislative opinion differed about its definition, it has one restricted meaning and another wider; it has also certain specifications to be different from other crimes.

Besides, it has been aggravated by its relationship with similar crimes and its rampant spread.

Fighting the latter is in fact neither enough nor far-fetched when the willpower meets and unites, which is what nations usually do once they regain their consciousness and awareness to the threat poses to their existence and sustainability.
