Undercover operations mechanism: between regulations and realityThe complex and interlaced character of organized crime taking advantage of technology evolution and interconnection has become a hindrance for the criminal proof.

Especially inside organizations that are secret and concealed which required the Algerian legislator to develop special mechanisms in investigating these challenges.

In fact, undercover action has become a method to get inside criminal organizations within the framework of procedural legitimacy and within objective and formal controls.

In practice, however, legal problems arose creating field obstacles that weakened its supposed effectiveness in netting the foundations of criminal organizations.

The procedural legislator should in order to heal this rift establish a balance between the requirements of the preservation of freedoms and the effectiveness of police performance.
