The right to a fair trial is one of the fundamental rights guaranteed in national laws as well as international conventions, as this right is an indication of the extent of the state's respect for human rights, and it was enshrined in regional systems to protect rights and freedoms, so the African Charter was a model for this by strengthening mechanisms to monitor the extent of the international commitment to protect Respect for human rights, especially since the primary goal of establishing these mechanisms is to materialize legal protection in practice as well as to activate the individual's right to litigation, especially before the judicial bodies of the African system for the protection of human rights.
