Abstract EN

In this study, we will try to highlight energy because of its pivotal role in driving the economy, especially in the pioneer countries where oil revenues are the main source of financing development projects, despite the pros of fossil energy, But changes in global energy have made it clear that rent-seeking states must include a powerful policy instrument of “energy diversification” by creating a mix of (fossil and renewable energies) in order to lift rent-seeking countries out of the fist of one single sector, the fuel sector.

Thus, rent-seeking countries should bear in mind that getting rid of the grip of rent-seeking economies should seriously consider the need to move toward renewable energies to achieve the dimensions of sustainable development and take into account the following considerations: First, there can be no sustainable development with increased reliance on fossil fuels, and secondly: Energy security cannot be achieved based on fossil energies.

Rather, they should seriously consider the need to move toward renewable energies.

The objectives of this study are to highlight the positive aspects of renewable energies on the environmental dimension, on the one hand, and to give priority to energy diversification as the strategic option for achieving energy security for the economies of the pioneer countries and ensuring the achievement of sustainable development goals in various dimensions (environmental, economic, social, security and political).
