Abstract EN

The current study aimed to define the requirements of a knowledge society and to know the possibility of developing university administration in accordance with the administrative and electronic requirements of the knowledge society.

The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool for the current study and it consisted of (24) items distributed between two main aspects.

The sample of the study reached (65) individuals, and the results of the study were analyzed using appropriate statistical means.

The results resulted in the following: - 1The administrative aspect (12) paragraphs, and all the paragraphs exceeded the standard adopted in the current study, but with varying proportions and weights, and the paragraph acquired sequence (1) which states (the approval of the administrative leadership of the university institution continuity of planning) on the highest weighted average of (4.20) and weight A percentage of (84), and the paragraph (12) which states (authorization of decision-making within the structural bodies for electronic management) has the lowest weighted mean of (3) and a percentage weight of (60.) - 2The electronic aspect (12) paragraphs, and all the paragraphs exceeded the standard adopted in the current study with varying proportions and weights, and the paragraph acquired a sequence (13) which states (using the Internet as one of the indicators of the transition towards the age of information and knowledge in universities) on the highest average weighted (4.30) The weight of its percentile value is (86), and the paragraph received the sequence (24) which states (taking into account the information and taking into account the documentation) with the lowest weighted mean of (3.012) and the weight of its percentage (60.24.) Among the most important conclusions of the study - : .1The requirements of the administrative and electronic knowledge society are considered a suitable framework for coordinating all aspects of work in the university institution and then help in bringing about an integrated change that facilitates raising the efficiency of higher education service performance in general.

.2The application of the requirements of the knowledge society has become an urgent necessity in order to develop the management of university institutions .3Poor financial funding and security constraints faced by Diyala University led to delaying the university from developing administrative work in line with the requirements of the knowledge society.
