Evaluating the exam questions for grammar in the College of Basic Education/ Diyala University according to the standards of quality education.

The research aims to evaluate exam questions for grammar in the Department of Arabic Language / College of Basic Education - Diyala University.

In light of the educational quality standards, the research sample consisted of (64) major and sub-questions that were selected from the school years from (2015-2018) to achieve the goal of the research and answer its questions, the researchers prepared a questionnaire consisting of six criteria for the quality of education, as well as (22) indicators.

The validity of the questionnaire and its validity were verified by the matching method, with two patterns over time and the agreement with two other researchers, after which the researchers analyzed these questions according to these criteria and indicators.

The results were treated by statistical means (percentages and Scott equation) and we reached the following results: 1.

The highest level was concentrated in the formulation of exam questions is the ratio of the level of absorption, then the level of knowledge, also the level of application, and then comes the level (analysis and composition), whose rates were very weak, but the level of evaluation was (3%) in the questions of the first round of the academic year (2017), while the questions of (2015) and (2018) did not contain the first round.

The lack of questions in a consistent and systematic format in the distribution of questions.

High indicators of technical aspects in the final exam questions.

The lack of questions in the logical sequence and the absence of sounding questions (cognitive sounding).

In light of the research results, the researchers developed recommendations and proposals.
