The purpose of the research is to identify the effectiveness of the strategy of summing up the groups in the achievement of the fifth grade students in literature and texts.

In order to achieve this, the researcher chose the experimental method suitable for his research, Diyala governorate was chosen as a place to conduct the research.

The students chose middle and secondary schools in the governorate centeras a research society.

The study was conducted by the students of the fifth grade literary school in the middle of the city of Baquba for the academic year (2018-2019).

The sample was randomized and consisted of two groups )28( students and the control group (26) students and the equivalence of a number of variables and the researcher chose the test of achievement for his research, where it was applied on 14/4/2019.

At the end of the experiment, the data was processed by The researcher found a difference in favor of the experimental group.

In light of the result, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations and suggested a set of suggestions regarding the subject of the research
