Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the future expectations of marginalized children and identify the statistically significant differences in their future expectations according to the gender variable (males, females).

The research sample consisted of (170) children from marginalized (orphans) children who were placed in the National Non-Governmental Orphans Foundation and within the age groups between (12-14) years, in Basra Governorate.

The results of the study concluded that orphan children have negative future expectations.

And the existence of a difference in expectations between children according to gender and in favor of males.

The researcher recommended her recommendations and destinations to the concerned authorities and suggested some proposals to the researchers.
