Abstract EN

Cognitive concepts nourish the mental aspects of the child through the integrated experiences they provide, so that each experience contributes to the development of the child's cognitive development in all its aspects "mental, cognitive, psychological, social, skill and movement." The development of the child's cognitive concepts is one of the main goals concurrent with the mental aspect of knowledge that contribute to enhancing self-learning that depends on the process of exploration, investigation and balance.

Therefore, the current study tries to identify the cognitive concepts of kindergarten children, and the research sample consisted of (150) children and girls, by (75) male children, and (75) female children.

The researcher also built a test for cognitive concepts consisting of five domains (classification, symmetry, congruence, speed, time), As the test contains (18) items, and after extracting the parameters of distinction, ease, difficulty, validity and reliability of the test, and from the researcher's application of its items to the research sample, the results of the research showed the following: 1- The research sample suffers from weakness in cognitive concepts.

2- There is an effect on the growth of cognitive concepts among kindergarten children according to the gender variable (male - female) and in favor of females.
