English Abstract

The current study aims to build a proposed training program to enhance the intellectual security of students of the History Department in the Faculties of Basic Education, and to achieve its goal, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach, and followed a number of procedures by defining a research community that was limited to students of the History Department at the College of Basic Education / Al-Mustansiriya University for the year The academic year 2019-2020 (morning study), and their number (112) male and female students, of whom (51) are students, and they represent (45.54) from the research community, and (61) female students, representing (54.46) of Total community.

After reviewing some previous Arab and foreign studies and research related to the topic of the research, the researcher approved a list of difficulties facing teachers of social subjects in achieving intellectual security, which came out in the study (Al-Najjar, 2019), which includes (36) paragraphs distributed in five main areas: (Curriculum, educational institutions, home and family, the media, activities and accompanying events), as each paragraph represents a difficulty that teachers of social subjects face in achieving intellectual security in light of the repercussions of extremism, after some changes are made that would suit the nature of the study.

The researcher used a number of statistical methods to analyze the results of his research.

The study resulted in several results, including: 1- Determining (30) skills distributed into five training areas that complement each other to meet the needs of students of the History Department in the College of Basic Education, and through which the enhancement of their intellectual security is achieved.

2- Building the proposed training program to enhance intellectual security for students of the History Department at the College of Basic Education.

The training program provides a comprehensive and accurate description of them, their activities and a method for training them on it.

In light of the previous results, several recommendations were made, including: The necessity of planning and preparing in-service training programs for students of the History Department in the Faculties of Basic Education in Iraq.
