Unemployment is one of the complex problems that spread in many countries of the developed and underdeveloped world, including Iraq, which occupies a special importance due to its high rates, especially after the events of the year 2003, and it is a clear model that expresses the deficit in the infrastructure, the decline of the state’s role, its neglect of the various productive sectors, large and small, and neglecting the rest Other sectors and the abolition of the Iraqi state structure that the temporary occupation authority has undertaken since 2003, which has contributed to the growth of the unemployment rate, to become a dangerous phenomenon threatening the Iraqi state in most age, class and professional sectors, as unemployment has affected not only individuals with specific education, but a large segment that included even graduates Universities and holders of higher degrees, in addition to that, the wars and problems that went through Iraq, which resulted in the destruction of the infrastructure and their reflection on the deterioration of the productive sectors, especially the industries sector, as most of the industrial projects owned by the state stopped, which led to a decrease in production capacity, which made economic activities facing Great difficulties, especially productive activity.

These factors have constituted weaknesses in the Iraqi economy and its impact on the situation Internal security, which made Iraq face a real crisis threatening the state’s economy and the stability and cohesion of its society for being the main cause of the problem of poverty and increasing the number of poor in Iraq.

Accordingly, we will approach the study by answering the following questions to be a basis for discussion about it, what is unemployment? What are its causes? What are its types? What are its economic and political implications? What are the solutions and treatments for it? Purpose of the study:- The study aims to clarify the dangers of disrupting a workforce of working age for the state and its reflection on the decline in the domestic product and the lax economic base of the state.

Hypothesis: - Unemployment is the result of complex and interwoven factors that have serious economic and security implications for the state.

Unemployment is the result of various factors, including the neglect of the role of successive governments in neglecting the various productive sectors, which led to an increase in their rates at high rates.

Research Methodology:- Every research must be based on a method from which the requirements of scientific research are derived to prove the validity of the hypothesis.
