Abstract EN
This research seeks to reveal the presence of the fasting and breakfasting in the Arab heritage from a pragmatic perspective which is concerned about the speaker, addressee, situation, or context, by applying it to texts from the Holy Quran, hadith, poetry, and prose.
The research is also interested in revealing the fasting and breakfasting dichotomy from a semiotic perspective of the language by applying some examples
