Teaching in physical education and sports science aims to prepare students to reach their simple abilities to the highest possible level, and there are many methods and educational methods that work in integration for the success of the educational curriculum and to enrich the educational process and stimulate the mind of the learner, as well as increasing the level of comprehension, remembering and retrieval, and the overlapping waves strategy is one of These effective teaching strategies, and the importance of the interlocking wave strategy in learning basic skills in the football game for students, to be an effective way for teachers to benefit from their keenness to guide the student in an organized manner that contributes to saving time and effort by the teacher, especially in difficult situations or aspects that require Accuracy in its implementation.

Therefore, the researchers used the experimental design with two equal groups (experimental and control) with pre and post- test for its suitability to the nature of the study.

The first stage of the morning study was chosen by only (116) males students to represent the research community.

The research sample included (56) students at the College of Education Physical and Sport Sciences University of Karbala for the fourth stage.

The results of the research showed that the interlocking wave strategy has a clear effect on teaching some basic football skills in terms of the significant differences in statistical significance in the results of the post tests conducted for the experimental group.
