Abstract EN

The incantation is in its origins a lament for the dead so that he can rest assured in his grave, The social incantations are many such as mourning, weeping, repentance and lamenting the dead, whether he was killed or dead.

This reflects negatively on the thought of the Arwho were certain of the reincarnation of souls.

As such, there was a link between the graves and the dead.

As for the hymns and funeral rituals, they were a mirror to two different sides in terms of establishing rituals between the Arand the kingdom.

As for the Arab women, they had the pioneering role of mourning in the so-called elegiac hymns which transformed from singing prayer that was directed to idols and then turned into hymns to the dead at the graves instead of singing prayer at the priests, and after that it entered into the political context, meaning it became a music for exhortation and rebellion.
