Abstract EN

The study is an attempt to combine the old morphological text with one of the modern linguistic approaches, such a study has not previously undertaken.

In other words, the research tries to reread our ancient linguistic heritage in the lens of modern linguistic theories.

The instrument for this study utilizes one of the interpretations of the Holy Qur’an for one of the most outstanding scholars of his time in the twelfth century.

He is Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Ridha Al-Mashhadi, who died within the limits of (1125 AH).

The most important result of the study is that the Arabic language is considered as a great sea, containing precious treasures exemplified by the efforts of the ancient scholars.

Therefore, modern theories should be employed to re-read our textual heritage in the lens of modernity.

The research is considered as an effort to break the bondage of the traditional means of morphological study, concerning finding the gaps among different scholars and highlighting the disagreement and agreement between scholars.

Such task is not the real goal of morphological study
