Abstract EN

The present research deals with the rhythmic structure of the Andulas poet Ibin Abdoon (520H) who had worked as a minister and clerk for Beni AL-Mudhafar, the royal princes of Beni AL-Aftas, who ruled (421-487H).

The poem was written in mourning of that state which was destroyed by Yousif bin Tashfeen, the leader of AL-Murabiteen and those who were killed by that leader when he was headed for the sea with his army to destroy AL-Tawaf states out of the political map of AL- Andulas.

The two researchers dealt with the two main rhythmic aspects: the restricted rhythmic structure which is represented by the prosodic units in which the poem was based upon.

It is the simple unit which has recognizable rhythmic movement.

It is based on two weights: the first represents the slow (mustafalun) and the other represents the fast (fa'alun) in addition to the critic structure and its tonic strength.

The second aspect of the free rhythmic structure which is formed by single letters (sounds) and the syllable structure within the boundary of the symmetrical rhythmic values.

It deals with repetition which is stylistically effective and assists to clarify the meaning in the listener's mind.

In addition to its phonetic effects to form the music and tonic harmony in the poetic text.

Then, the research presents another rhythmic aspect which consists of the symmetry of words and its rhythmic effect in understanding the text It also presents the rhythmic structure which is called the rhetoric heritage (AL-Tarsee'a) like an internal rhythm which precedes the external rhythmic unit.

The two researchers tackle that rhythmic structure and its ability to create a struggle between two types of speech or two types of sentences, the first one indicate the continuity and the second aims at obstruct the development which is known as (Ekhlaf AL-Thaan) which strengthen the poem and it's meanings.
