Basra and his title Prince of Princes in 324 AH, handed him the reins of affairs and gave his hand in all the powers of the state, hoping that he would regain the prestige of the caliphate and the ministry and control the situation, but the opposite appeared and the caliph lost all his powers and he only had religious leadership and the name of the caliphate only and the ministry was nullified creating the position of Prince of princes
