The economic literature indicates that there is a reciprocal relationship between public expenditures and economic growth represented by the gross domestic product, and this is what Keynes and Wagner emphasized.

In Iraq, public expenditures are one of the most important components of GDP.

So the study tried to identify the nature of the relationship between the size Public expenditures and economic growth in Iraq through the use of the analytical method, and the study found that there is a positive relationship between public expenditures and economic growth represented by the GDP in Iraq for the period from 2004 to 2019.
