Abstract EN

In this research, we are exposed to the concept of the text in the light of linguistic studies and critical approaches, and we address the difficulties facing the construction of an integrated concept of the text, which defines its essence and denies the term what other concepts and terms may interfere with it.

Then we address the linguistic development of the concept in the Arab and foreign heritage and Western and Arabic linguistic curricula.

We also talk about the definition of literary text in modern critical approaches.

Then we come to an attempt to develop a concept for the text that we hope will be a contribution to controlling the boundaries of this term, which still requires a lot of research in modern linguistic and critical studies and approaches.

We have adopted the descriptive approach in this study in addition to using some other approaches as needed, and the study concluded a number of results and recommendations that are included in the conclusion of the research
