Abstract EN

This study aimed to focus on the lack of diversification in the productive structure, which shows its inherent imbalance in the relative distribution of the components of the GDP, which was reflected in the lack of diversification of sources of revenue.

The researchers used the descriptive and analytical approach with a realistic analysis of the production structure and the structure of public revenues in order to reach evaluation results.

The two researchers found a weak economic diversification in the production structure as a result of dependence on the crude oil sector, which led to the economic dependence of crude oil as the only resource for public revenues.

In order to achieve the goal of the research, we recommend the decision-makers of the necessity of creating sectorial interdependence by following the unbalanced development strategy for the medium term by making oil a leading sector for the advancement of other sectors until the advancement of productive sectors and the creation of opportunities for economic diversification.
