The current research aims to know the effect of the self-activation strategy on the achievement of fifth-grader literary students with the subject of history.

Baghdad / Al-Karkh Education Directorate for the third academic year 2019-2020 (first course), the research sample consisted of (62) students, (30) students for the experimental group, and (32) students in the control group, the researcher used the statistical means of the statistical package spss, proved Research results: There are statistically significant differences in favor of students of the experimental group in increasing achievement Through this, the researcher concluded that the strategy of self-activation has an effective role in increasing the achievement of female students within the limits of the research, and she recommended a number of recommendations, including the inclusion of the subject history for the intermediate stage in general and history in particular, various activities and training that help in increasing the achievement, and several proposals were suggested, including an effective study An educational unit in the subject of history according to the strategy of self-activation in developing historical thinking and the motivation towards the subject.
