The researcher dealt with military spending and its impact on economic growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the period 1977-2016.

The study aimed to identity concepts and theories of military spending and to show the relationship between military expenditure and economic growth The researcher relied on the analytical descriptive approach, analyzing the phenomenon under study and determining the factors influencing it.

The standard approach was also adopted through the use of causal tests and correlation coefficients.

The study relied on the opioz rogram to analyze the study data.

The study found that the growth in the volume of spending in Saudi Arabia depends on growth in GDP and that there are positive effects of Saudi military spending on economic growth.

The study recommended that the Saudi government should rely on increasing the volume of public spending on development projects and programs, increasing the diversification of sources of income and expanding the production base.

Saudi Arabia also recommended that military industries be directed to intensify investments in various sectors such as food, clothing, electronics, And develop them to serve the economic development process in the Kingdom.
