Abstract EN

The problem of the study focused on identifying the role of the Ministry of Interior in detecting money laundering crimes through the organization and control of gold and jewellery stores.

One of its main objectives was to identify the crimes of money laundering, terrorism financing, and the role of the Ministry of Interior in combating it.

The study reached a number of conclusions, including that the crime of money laundering connected to another crime based on the purpose of concealment of the illegal feature of those funds.

Also, the crime of money laundering cannot be solved by legislation only, but it is necessary to activate the role of regulatory bodies that apply such legislation.

the study also recommended of the need of the gold, jewellery, and gemstones shops to adhere the laws which regulate the money laundering, especially the verification of persons who are dealing with the size of large funds and not ignore the small transfers for its role in the execution of individual terrorist acts
