This research deals with the problem of missing persons in Iraq.

It tries to figure the legal framework governing the situation under national remedies and how its evolved to meet the growing needs under the increasing missing persons numbers.

Through three decades of international armed conflict and internal armed conflict, the numbers of missing persons in Iraq are around one million.

In fact, most problems focused on the legal issues and the assistance needs.

The article goes on to address the national mechanisms of missing persons, the preventive measures for missing issue, and the reaction measures of missing issue.
