Abstract EN

The islands of Bahrain have been known for more than five thousandyears and have been a link between the three great civilizations.

They havespread geographically between the regions of Al-Ahsa, Al-Qatif and theArchipelago and reached Basra in southern Iraq.

Their economic importancehas gained its geographical location, as well as the presence of natural pearlsand abundant freshwater.

Because the Bahrain's economic, strategicimportance, invaders from inside and outside the Gulf, who represented theOttomans, Safavids and Mamluks in Egypt and the Portuguese, were greedy forit.

The rulers of these islands were led by several states and families whosepower and influence were derived from their tribes in the Arabian.

Of thosefamilies that ruled Bahrain, al-Jabour 1440-1525, the real and actual founderof that great emirate is Zamil bin Hussein bin Nasser bin Jabr al-Ameri in 1440This was followed by his son Sheikh Ajoud bin Zamil, whose period representsa period of prosperity, strength and expansion of the Emirate of Jabour, whichreached its maximum extent in the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf.

He was thefirst to take the title of (Sultan) and achieved all those who keep pace with therule of Bahrain prosperity and development of the country, but came in 1525, the actual year of the disappearance of the Emirate of Jabour after the eventsof the killing of Sheikh Muqrin and buried in Qatif, and the star Jabbour in theirSultan in Bahrain and Qatif where he replaced them Al-Fadl and their SheikhRashid became ruler of Basra, Al-Qatif and Al-Ahsa at the same time, thusending the Emirate of Jabour in Bahrain by the end of its power.
