Awaqaf contributed greatly to Islamic societies, whether in the economic, social or cultural aspects, and had an impact on these societies as a religious institution that played an important role in serving the Islamic culture and in its development, spread and continuity.

Awaqaf expanded in the Ottoman Empire with a wide range and became a testament to the Ottoman civilization, and from these endowments built mosques, schools, hospitals, mosques, book houses and other institutions of a service nature and their various types and purpose according to the Awaqaf and work to develop what was there and maintain its services.
