Abstract EN

The study area ( Jawartah ) is located in the northeastern part of Iraq within the Jawartah district of Sulaymaniyah Governorate, with an area of (143.07) km2.

The problem of the study lies in the lack of studies that use the technical side and adopt a simulation model of groundwater suitability for the purpose of agricultural irrigation.

The study aims to conduct a spatial analysis of the chemical properties of groundwater, using ArcGIS v10.4 software.

A model was built for the suitability of groundwater for agricultural irrigation in the study area, it was found that the quality of the rocks through which it passes, the properties of the soil and the uses of the land are all factors that largely control the increase or decrease in the concentration of dissolved substances as they directly affect the validity of that water for agricultural irrigation purposes.
