This research aims to highlight recreational facilities in Baghdad (145-334 A.

H) to (762-945 A.

D) and the interest of the Abbasi caliphs in this field by building special recreational palaces where the founder of Baghdad Abu-Jaafar al-Mansour built the Bab al-Dahab Palace in the circular city of Baghdad addition to the construction of a palace called Alkhald the caliph AL-Mu'tadid Billah was famous for building palaces with beautiful shapes like Al-Taj (The crown) palace, Al-Furdaous (The paradise) palace and Al-Thuraya palace.

Among the recreational facilities, there were meetings and councils allocated and specified for fun and entertainment that were held in gardens and orchards where Companions, Poets, Singers and musicians used to attend.
