Zia Al- Haq seized the power in 5th of July, 1977 through a coup against DhuAl-Faqar Ali Bhotto.
He said, then that he was not ambitious to rule and he world give power to peole.
But he Continued in power and imposed the marital laws and applied his Ialamist policy.
he Assigned penalties to those who deviated from leaming of Islam like druggists, thieves… etc.
He imposed givings (ZaKat) and revised the constitution and finished the activity of the secural parties who worked against his Islamic regime.
Under the public and governmental pressure, he was obliged to end the end the marital laws and formed a government and a parliament headed by Jujino but he dismissed it in 1988 before his death in a plan crash in 17th of August, 1988.
