English Abstract

The research geographical reality Lahore Iraq and natural ingredients for sustainable development, especially the development of tourism, as it dealt with the nature characteristics of the marshes and the reasons for its inception and geographical distribution to them, and the nature of the surface and sources of water marshes, also touched on the reality of water resources and water use, and the causes of the water problem and the future of water in Iraq, the fact that water is the reason essential for the presence of marshes and water scarcity cease to exist.

On the other hand The research successive Iraqi governments policy direction of the marshes, as well as the statement of the importance and potential of tourism, economic and natural heritage marshes and architecture and relics of civilization, and the search is over two themes important first is the challenges of development and revive the marshes and the second issue is the proposed solutions to the challenges they face.
