ملاحظات على طبعات كتاب "بغية الملتمس" للمؤرخ أحمد الضبي المتوفي سنة (599 ه-1202 م)‎

Abstract EN

The research paper aims at clarifying the differences between the editions of the book "Bughyat Al-Multamis fi Rijal Ahl Al-Andalus" by the historian Ahmed Ibn Yahya Al-Dabi (Died: 599 AH / 1202 AD).

It was found that there is a discrepancy in the edition of Majret from the edition of Dar Al-Kitab Al-Masry, and from the edition of Dar Al-Kutub Al-Alami in Beirut in Several aspects, represented by a lack of some phrases and sentences, various readings of some texts, and numerous explanations, in addition to merging some translations of the book into one translation.

Therefore, it was necessary to prepare a study explaining the extent of the difference between these editions and comparing them in other sources such as the book “Juthwat Al-Muqtabis fiWuilat Al-Andalus” by the historian Muhammad Ibn Abi Nasr al-Hamidi (died: 488 AH / 1095 AD), and the book “Al-Sila fi tareekh Oamaaa Al-Andalus” by historian Khalaf Ibn Abd al-Malik Ibn Bashkwal (died: 578 AH / 1183 AD), and many others.

Therefore, this study is conducted so the reader can see the contrast between these editions.
