English Abstract

History was subject to a great debate about what it is, is it science art or literature.

Fair-minded scientists and researchers considered it as equivalent to other kinds of science and even more advanced.

The important scientific research in historical writing in a rapidly changing world has become increasingly convincing especially since scientific research has become the basic criterion for scientific ranking of the world universities.

It is there for necessary to provide the historian with a high-quality scientific material and to apply the latest scientific methods in historical writing.

This paper explains the meaning of history and its importance.

It discusses the methodologies of studying history.

The focus is on the problems that surrounded the scientific methods of studying history, indicating the goal of studying history and what is meant by scientific method in history.

The problem of scientific research in the historical writing can be characterized as language and idiom issues, the lack of historical awareness and the lack of balance between analysis and stories telling in the sense of interest in narration without explanation.

Another problem is the centrality of history in the sense of interest in the history of civilizations rather than political and military systems.

Since scientists and thinkers are more involved in the progress of humanity than politicians and wars leaders.

There is also a neutrality of the historian issues.

Historian's affiliation to doctrine or sect reduces the scientific value of his writing, and the non-use of the scientific method associated with interpretation and reasoning reduces the value of scientific history.
