English Abstract

Islamic architecture flourished in general and Samarra architecture in particular during the rule of the Abbasid state, which lasted for five centuries and whose evidence is still present to this day in the city of Samarra, whose location dates back to prehistoric times.

Including culture to parts of the Islamic State and to Europe, and that the architectural and decorative architectural character that characterized the city has affected the rest of the cities of the Islamic world that were built afterwards, as a result of the extension of the ancient architectural engineering thought in the Mesopotamian Valley, which gave a strong impetus to the development of Arab and then Islamic architecture in the region and the world.
