English Abstract

The importance of the research comes through studying the international situation, especially the Iranian position on the Iraqi revolution in July 1958, where the revolution's statement announced the end of the monarchy in Iraq and the establishment of the republican system, and the birth of this revolution had causes and conditions that Iraq lived through, Iraq suffered from backwardness in various fields, Despite its mineral wealth, by linking it to long-term treaties, where British companies exploited Iraq's wealth and established many military bases in Iraq, and were the most influential in drawing and formulating Iraq's internal and external policy.

The traditional approach followed by the Iraqi governments.

The research aims to study the nature of the official position of a neighboring country to Iraq with the longest border with it, Iran, where the Iranian position fluctuates between opposition to the extent of declaring mourning for the royal family that was executed in Iraq, to a popular position in support of the revolution, and this fluctuation continued until the Islamic revolution in Iran due to The many intersecting positions between the two countries, especially the issue of borders between them.

The subject will be studied by dividing the research into four main axes, which are a historical introduction to the relations of Iraq and Iran and a study on Iran's position on the revolution of July 14 1958.

The third topic deals with the nature of the political relationship between Iraq and Iran after the establishment of the Iraqi Republic, and the last topic talks about the development of relations between Iraq and Iran after the coup of July 17, 1986 until 1979.
