English Abstract

Gaul witnessed a political and ethnic division at the beginning of the Middle Ages that ended in military debates between the powers that took it as a battleground for their competition.

Gaul was given a new power represented by the Germanic Frankish tribe, whose king Clovis was keen to dominate Gaul by various measures starting with the use of military force to eliminate the forces opposed to it.

Through his renunciation of his pagan religion and embracing Catholic Christianity to win the loyalty of the sons of the Catholic Church in Gaul who formed an olute majority in all its political units, and ending with adding a religious dimension to his combative activities as a Catholic Christian keen to expel the Arian heretics from Gaul, and it is remarkable that King Clovis used this pretext.

To get rid of the Arians, only those who follow other religions, whom Clovis overlooked the continuation of their religious rituals, King Clovis' measures met with great success, represented by making political, military and religious transformations that transformed Gaul into a religiously stable and economically prosperous political unit for most of the medieval era, as he gave it Many features of the Germanic Franks, including the change of the name of Gaul to the Kingdom of the Persians He survived, to prove that King Clovis was a man of war, rule and administration of a high caliber who was able to establish an integrated infrastructure for a kingdom that was destined to play a decisive role in the medieval history of Europe.
