English Abstract

Mr.

Mahdi Al-Haidari is considered one of the prominent figures of the seminary in Iraq in general and the seminary in Kadhimiya in particular, as he played a major role in the Iraqi arena, through his political positions in Iraq, as those positions and roles represented the making of historical events in this period of time.

His historical roles were to confront and confront the threat of the British occupation of Basra in 1914, as this occupation was considered the beginning of Iraq's entry under colonial control, and as a result, Mr.

Mahdi Al-Haidari called on the Iraqi people to confront this occupation through his fatwa, which he issued under the title (Jihad.

Mr.

Mahdi Al-Haidari was not satisfied with this position, as he worked to prepare and motivate public opinion through his decision to go out to confront and resist the British occupation himself and his sons, and this position had a great impact on the hearts of the Iraqi people in motivating and encouraging them to confront the occupier.

Mr.

Mahdi Al-Haidari also went during the procession of Al-Kazemi to Al-Amarah in several areas on the banks of the Tigris River and delivered encouraging and motivational speeches in order to arouse public opinion among the people of these areas, and held several meetings with tribal sheikhs.

On the battlefields, Mr.

Mahdi Al-Haidari had great positions, represented by his explicit rejection of Javid Pasha's decision to evacuate the city of Al-Amarah, and his advance to the battlefield in the Battle of Al-Qurna.

Perhaps the reason behind these positions was to motivate the Iraqi people to continue the resistance of the occupier, an attempt to maintain morale The Mujahideen on the battlefields, and it is noted by tracing this study that the Hawza has a major role in making contemporary Iraq history.
