Abstract EN

A human being is influenced by everything surround him such as daily hassles.

Although these hassles are considered minor it have great effect on the physical and psychological health of an individual to the extent that when these hassles happen repeatedly they may affect mental health.

The purpose of this study is exmin the cognitive appraisl of hassles that occur to employees diring their work times inside the compus where the present study conducted the present study is confind with employees of this university, namely, (presidency, college of Education, college of arts and college Science employees )in Baghdad city, in the academic year (2007-2008).

the sample of the are present consists of(200) employees; (125) females and (75) males The researcher builds a scale for the cognitive appraisal of daily hassles.

The results of this study indicated that the sample evaluated the hassle as threaded, the sex was significant, while the experience and the interaction between sex and experience was had signlicant in cognitive appraisal of daily hassles.
