Abstract EN

The research entitled (The beauty of the decorative structure and its employment in the Islamic miniature) dealt with the nature of the concept of aesthetics in studies of decorative units, their aesthetic references and their spiritual characteristics, by presenting the most important decorative units of engineering, botanicals, calligraphy and the structure of the subject of the decorative unit as an aesthetic formative unit in the Islamic miniatur.

The research contained four chapters, the first chapter, the problem of research, its importance, and the need for it.

The research problem was to reveal the aesthetic function of the decorative structure in Islamic miniature, and the aim of the research is to identify the decorative structure in the Islamic miniature and how to employ the decorative unit in the Islamic miniatures.

While the limits of the research were limited to studying the illustrated models (Yahya al-Wasiti) from the Maqamat al-Hariri manuscript drawn in Iraq (634 AH - 1236 CE).

The second chapter included the theoretical framework that consisted of two topics: The first topic included beauty among philosophers, decorative unity and its aesthetic reference and characteristics.

The second dealt with the structure of the decorative unit, while the third chapter contained the research procedures, the research community, its sample, its tools, and the analysis of its adult samples (4) for paintings.
