This phenomenon is considered one of the negative phenomena that have recently spread in Iraqi society and have had dangerous effects on society and the individual alike.

The alarm sounded and society began to descend greatly towards the abyss, which prompted us to discuss this issue and arrive at results and solutions.

This topic has been discussed in the form of two requirements: The first requirement: we discussed what drugs are, and in the second requirement: drugs in the criminal law.

Some solutions have been proposed to address this phenomenon, including activating the legal rules that criminalize the perpetrator of this harmful act in the crime of drug abuse, working to monitor persons authorized to import narcotic substances, implementing international agreements, legal, judicial and security cooperation, and extraditing criminals with regard to those accused in drug trafficking cases.

And working on selecting competent persons to conduct the investigation of drug cases.

These are a set of solutions that can limit the phenomenon, which have been suggested in the service of the public interest.
