English Abstract

The past years have witnessed rapid scientific developments in information and communication technology, which have made their spread and application common and common in many areas of the daily life of contemporary man, including the fields of education, and after the emergency conditions that Iraq and the whole world have passed and are going through due to the (Corona pandemic), I have taken The central Iraqi government has a series of measures that would remove the threat of this epidemic from the country, and among thesemeasures is the imposition of a curfew, which was known as (home quarantine), which cast a shadow over the suspension of school and university students' attendance, and government and private institutes.

From here, an alternative to urban education was necessary to complete the curriculum, its materials and vocabulary.

E-learning was almost the only alternative solution to continuing study and it became an urgent and inevitable necessity in the educational and educational fields at the level of the ministries of education, higher education and scientific research to fill the shortfall in providing learners from students and students With sufficient scientific and knowledge material to qualify them for later school stages.

In this paper, the researcher will shed light on the concept of e-learning, its characteristics, and its types, and then focus more on the challenges facing e-learning in Iraq, according to sources and literature, and a set of previous studies that have dealt with this topic.
