Abstract EN

The followers of the Prophet Mohammed documented the Glorious Quran in a way that is inconsistent with the standard way.

It was not a a coincidence; in fact, it was meant to be on this way.

One of these inconsistent ways of writing Quran is adding the " " in the Ottoman writing.

This addition is regarded as one of the most unstable phenomena in writing for specialists, including: grammarians, and morphologists, who provided different views of the phenomenon.

Different trends raised to clarify the reasons behind this addition.

The common trend regarded it as a linguistic matter; latter on, another trend regarded it as a semantic matter.

In the modern time, a new trend raised, which is the historical one, and related the phenomenon of writing Quran to the way that people used to write with it in their regular writing.

Then another trend raised to relate the addition to phonological reasons.

The research is after investigating the addition of "و" after "الهمزة المضمومة" that is controversial in the Ottoman writing, and revealing the secrets and reasons behind this addition.
